Gabriel Kinkaid felt the turmoil building in his chest until he could stand it no longer and kissed his older brother. He was thrilled when Mark kissed him back but couldn’t hide the hurt when just a month later Mark asked Gabe to be his best man while he married his girlfriend. Gabe moved out and relocated to a city a few hours from his parents house. Now he was interviewing for a manager’s job at a local kink club called Freedom. It was only after he signed an NDA that Wyatt explained that there was a second section of the club that was for members only exploring taboo relationships. When Gabe told Wyatt why he left home, Wyatt invited him over to his house for a BBQ so he could meet other club members of like persuasion.
Mark had panicked after Gabe kissed him and married his best friend Sarah to keep Gabe at arm’s length. Now two months later Sarah was leaving him. Theirs was never a love match but Mark refused to tell her what was wrong and so she cut him loose to figure himself out. When Mark showed up at Freedom instead of calmly confronting Gabe, he burst into the office, pushed Gabe against the wall and kissed the hell out of him, then ran out the door.
Once cooler heads prevailed, Gabe invited Mark to stay with him while they worked things out.
Cue the only one bed trope. Lots of trigger warnings in this one but Eloise publishes the lists for all her taboo novels on her website. Well done!

I love all the stories in this series. It was nice to see some old faces and I think new ones… and the cameos make me want to re-read the other books.
I’d definitely recommend it (and the others) if you like these tropes. Could be read as a stand-alone but is better enjoyed in series order.

When Hearts Collide is the sixth book in the Collide series, it can be read as a standalone, but it’s even better in order. I have really loved this series and if you enjoy forbidden stories, this is a great one to read. Gabe and Mark go through a lot of angst and emotions before they get their HEA, but it’s so worth going through

If you’re a fan of yearning and taboo stories, this brothers in love story is definitely for you… Gabe and Mark find their way to each other and to only one bed… it’s very much that traditional taboo story, with the added twist of cameos from the Freedom club members.
Best read in order, but it’s just as easy to jump straight into Gabe and Mark’s story if that’s where you’re at, but you definitely need to add this to your Taboo TBR if you’re into this style of read.
